For the time of the year, the greens are in good condition.

Excellent course was raining all of Friday evening but on Saturday the course played very well with the exception of one or two places having a lot of water on them, but other than that great bar area and shop and will be back.

It's a good beginners course, some tough holes and good testing short holes.

Good course, difficult in the wind.

Played on a Saturday in May after about 3 years of rain (6 weeks) and the course was in superb condition.  Possibly the best greens I've played all year.  Lovely tees and fantastic fairways.  Huge super fast greens.  Lots of bunkers with good sand.  Looks fairly open but the trees and bushes do come into play.  Also quite a few out of bounds.  Some holes are not the most memorable, but there are a few crackers.  Fairly long shot 93 off 17 handicap.

Some interesting and varied holes; quite a lot of height variation in some holes adds to the complexity; the par 3s are cracking.
Minor gripe with yesterday was the greens were very ridged which made putting interesting.

Great greens."

"Great course considering it’s a public category. My hats off to the green keepers and staff."

"Nice course, currently undergoing refurb in the main restaurant part of the clubhouse, which looks like it will be very smart indeed once completed. Food and bar area still open during works. Well thought out and fairly unintrusive. Well done Hoebridge."

"Excellent."

"Nice Course, open views, greens well tendered."

"Nice course, but not necessarily one for the shorter hitters as there are some long holes here. Almost always in great condition, it has a really nice clubhouse, driving range and putting green. Add in the shorter 9 hole Shey course and the par 3 course too, and you have a golf club that pretty much has everything."

"This review is for the Shey Copse which is a good 9 hole course for improvers.   No par 5s and many of the 4s are quite short so not a challenge for low handicappers.   Full range of catering facilities and well stocked pro shop.”

Played a four ball after 3pm, so getting the discounted rate. Found the club to be relaxed and friendly, professional without of the stuffiness. Course was very nice and well maintained. For a infrequent golfer it was challenging and rewarding, as long as you stay clear of the rabbit holes of which there are plenty. This course has reignited my passion for the game.
